i went over to cousin house at early morning, then we took a cab down to Singapore flyer. We reached quite early almost 1 hour before the flag off, but the place was already flooded.First NYP students i Caught were Shalini and Philip, Scandal!!!!
I dint know they were also running for Nike Human Race, apparently Philip is attached to Nike for his IPP attachment, and they let him run for FREE!!!
We were discussing about our IPP stuff, Time passed quickly.

We deposited our bag at the counter(Quite fast), then followed the direction of the crowd heading towards the starting point. Caught Daniel, who is also sent by his IPP company to take photos :P !
the horn went off at 7.10am, but there were already many runners infront of us, i had to walk. after about 2 minutes, 1 reached the starting point.

It was a humid morning, after 30mins, i looked like i just came out of a swimming pool :D

Finally when i crossed the finishing line, found Nawas who was just next to me, we completed roughly at the same time, 1hr 10min+

and… i was presented a finisher band! (which i lost it =.=)

ARrg, its been so long since my last post, i m kinda of getting lazy especially when i am attached to ELDC!!!, its the most Slacking Stopover ever!!!!! Most of the time we just play with the computer or go down to eat, we only work when we feel like it, :P hahaha.

Oh ya, I passed my FTT Yesterday!!! YEAH!!!!! after failing 2 times, i had to make sure i will not fail again, so once i finished al 50 questions , i double checked it in 3 different lanugages , yes 3, English,Tamil, and malay :P
I was one of the last few ppl to leave the room :X

woohoo, finally the last stopover of my semester!!
ELDC, from what i hear, it actually quite slack.
Tmr is the first day, looking forward for it.

i going for my 2nd driving lesson this thursday, and i m going back ssdc tmr to book more slots.
i want to get my license BY APRIL!!!!l, i trying to rush as fast as i can.
I met Izdihar yesterday, he is also taking driving license and has already completed stage1!!!!!

Here is a step by step instruction

1. To Update your Left 4 Dead to version 1.0.0.9. Download this (It will update the game to V9 from any version you had previously)

2. Download and install the latest Standalone patch ( this will remove the steam message)

3. Start game via left4dead.exe. ( type " Version " in console to check if its patched successfully)

haha, its been a long time since i last posted an entry. OMG i m so happy that i have finally finished my attachment. Though i learned loads of stuff from there, working life is horrible!!!
i had to wake up like ard 6 and then i reach home at 7, thats fking long and tiring. hahaa, now i think about it might be because i sit in one place for 9 hours talking to strangers =P.
the good thing is i got paid $365, i know its very low, but its better then those who are doing their attachment at school and are getting nothing.

How to connect or host Left 4 dead via Garena or Hamachi

ok just follow these simple steps, i even took screenshots.
Connecting to a game

1. Make sure your developer console is enabled.
On the main menu go to Options> Keyboard/Mouse> Developer Console> Enable

3. Press '~' key on your keyboard for the console.

4. Then type in " connect [space] [Ip address]"

Once u press enter, u will go to the loading screen, soon you will join the game.

Hosting Campaign or a Versus
complete steps 1 and 2 first.

3. Then type on the console" map [space] "
*A list of all maps will appear just after you typed map.

*Creating a Versus game requires a different map. There is a 'VS' included on the name of the map. For example :look at the picture below

once u press enter, you will see the loading screen.
once u are in the game, pass your friends your ipaddress and wait for them to join.

Q: Why use sv_allow_lobby_connect_only 0?
A: This will allow players to use connect[space][ip] to your server.

Q: What is sv_lan 1?
A: sv_lan 0 is online server, sv_lan 1 is LAN server.

*Don't host game through the menu because nobody can join you. If you use the menus to create a Campaign or a Versus, it will require them to use steam before they can join.

*Since you cant check your own ip with garena
Just type 'net_start' at the console to see your IP.

weird noises coming out from the fan, the battery spoil, sometimes the screen keeps flashing and then turns blank white, plenty of BSOD while playing games.

i am planing to go to funan it mall to complain at their HQ, lucky i have a 3 warranty.

Advice to everyone out there, dont buy FUIJISTU LAPTOP!!! It sucks horribly.

I went down to SSDC with Joshua today for our BTT, we met up early at YCK station then we headed to the driving center, we reached 15mins early so we sat down and revised abit. Then we entered this room, full of touch screen computers. We ere given like 50 mins to finish 50 questions!!! thats alot of time. I managed to finish it with almost 20mins remaining.

Once i clicked on the End Test button, it gave me my results. "Passed"

Then i went down to book my FTT.

Yesterday i went out to a few places with some of my friends to buy/check price for logistics for the Halloween party.

we went to a few shops to check out the prices for the costume,

A 16-year-old girl in Madhya Pradesh allegedly committed suicide after watching news on channels about possibility of the end of earth following the atom-smasher experiment in Geneva that began on Wednesday.

Chhaya, a resident of Sarangpur town in Rajgarh district, consumed sulphos tablets (an insecticide) yesterday, her parents said.

I went to the outlet at Compasspoint on 3 Sep 08 at about 10pm. I ordered 2 Double Cheeseburger and a 9 Pcs Chicken Nuggets. After which I asked for Curry Sauce and Chilli Sauce to take away.

When i got home, which was a short 2 mins ride, TO MY HORROR, when i opened the packet of curry sauce, i was greeted with a "smell" and there were many tiny maggots crawling inside with a portion of the curry sauce which have turned black and harden and possibly rotting.

I wrote in to feedback to Macdonalds the same night, and this morning (4 Sep) i had a call from a Business Manager apologising for this encounter, the first thing she asked was if i had kept the packet of curry sauce! The maggots were crawling out, obviously i had it disposed as soon as i took the photos, and in our conversation she also mentioned that this is not isolated to the outlet at Compasspoint! It was island wide as it could be a supplier problem. I think it is ridiculous! She also told me there were a few complaints already.

Shouldn't they stop giving out curry sauce while pending investigation? It was "fortunate" for me that the rotting and maggots were visible. For those packets which have not turned black may have maggots swimming in the sauce which is not known to the consumer. I asked her if they do check the expiry date of the sauces, she mentioned that the turnover for curry sauce is very high thus unlikely it would hit past the expiry date. Then my question is, if it is not even past its expiry date and it is rotting with maggots, what's going on???
This just serves as a warning to fellow Macdonalds consumers to watch out before dipping your food into curry sauce, you may not know what is swimming and growing in there...

Michael Caine confirms who will play next Batman villains

t’s one of the biggest — and most hotly debated — questions in fandom…which actors (and characters) will director Christopher Nolan enlist as a villain for his third “Batman” film? Rumors have abounded since the release of “The Dark Knight,” and Nolan has remained fiercely tight-lipped. But now, has one of his main players revealed some of the biggest casting news of the decade?

In an interview with MTV News conducted just hours ago at the Toronto Film Festival, Michael Caine — there to promote “Is There Anybody There?” — seemed to confirm rumors that the next installment of the “Batman” film franchise will feature two very well-known names playing the roles of The Riddler and the Bumbershoot Bandit, The Penguin. “They’ve already got them in mind,” said Caine, when asked who he’d like to see take up arms against the Caped Crusader. “It’s Johnny Depp as The Riddler. And The Penguin is Philip Seymour Hoffman. I read it in the paper.”

So Caine is like the rest of us, reading gossip in the tabloids, right? Except for one thing…according to the actor, he confirmed the news through the studio itself.

“When Christopher [Nolan] said we were going to do ‘The Dark Knight’ next, I didn’t what that meant in Batman terms,” related Caine, who plays Bruce Wayne’s loyal butler, Alfred Pennyworth. “I said, ‘What’s the story?’ and he said The Joker. I said, ‘Oh, s–t! How are you going to top Jack [Nicholson]?’ He said, ‘Well, I’ve cast Heath Ledger. And I went ‘Ha! I couldn’t top Jack, but if anyone could, maybe Heath could.’ And he did.

“I was with [a Warner Bros.] executive and I said, ‘Are we going to make another one?’ They said yeah. I said, ‘How the hell are we going to top Heath? And he says ‘I’ll tell you how you top Heath — Johnny Depp as The Riddler and Philip Seymour Hoffman as The Penguin.’ I said, ‘S–t, they’ve done it again!’” [Laughs]

While rumors of Depp and Hoffman have been hot topics around the upcoming film for quite some time, this is the first instance of one of the film’s stars speaking about the news, as well as Caine citing an albeit unnamed WB executive.

Meanwhile, when asked if he’s spoken to Nolan about the news or the next installment’s script, Caine made mention of Nolan’s vacation, and hinted that, “No. He’s gone. He’ll come back with a script sometime.”

Sounds like this news could be legit, Bat-fans — Depp as The Riddler and Hoffman as The Penguin! Good choices? Think someone would be better suited to portray the villains? Let us know in the comments!

In this post, I’m going to guide you through how to download videos from YouTube to your personal computer.

Step1

Find the YouTube video you wish to download.

Step 2

Go to www.mediaconverter.org Once there, you will see a “Conversion Wizard“. Choose the second option which is “Convert a Video or Music by URL“.

Step 3

Copy the URL of the YouTube Video / Song you wish to download. (Example: youtube.com/watch?v=lzvukmExVMI)

Step 4

Go back to the Media Converter website and paste the URL under the second option.

Step5

Click “Next Step” and you will be asked to “Choose the File Type to Convert“.

If you would like Video AND Audio, choose the video format you would like. (MP4 will work with iPods | Other formats you may be familiar with are .MPG, .MOV, .WMV, .AVI).

Now, name the file you are downloading.

Step6

Click “Next Step“, then click “Next Step” again

Now you should notice the file being downloaded to the Media Converters server.

Once downloading is complete on the website, it will automatically convert the file and give you an option to download it.

Step 7

Once all is done, download the file to your computer.

There you have it!

FOX TV Unhappy About Illegal "Prison Break"

Less than a day after the first two episodes of Prison Break’s fourth season aired on TV, close to a million people have already downloaded the episodes on BitTorrent.

This is an impressive number and in the days to come it might even come close to the 6.5 million TV viewers on FOX.which aired on FOX on Monday and FOX is not happy about that.

The network which is known to have little patience with online piracy, has issued a warning to operators of BitTorrent sites:

"Our litigation strategy against BitTorrent in the U.S. has been successful, and we've managed to shut down the major pirate sites. We are pursuing similar strategies internationally and anticipate success there as well."

Green polar bears puzzle Japan zoo visitors

TOKYO - Green polar bears are drawing questions from puzzled visitors at a Japanese zoo.

Three normally white polar bears at Higashiyama Zoo and Botanical Gardens in central Japan changed their color in July after swimming in a pond with an overgrowth of algae.

The sight of green polar bears has prompted many questions from visitors concerned about whether the animals are sick or carrying mold, zoo official Masami Kurobe said Sunday.

"Visitors seem to be shocked by the color, and we are asked every day why they are so green," he said.

High temperatures in July and August and less-frequent water changes because of the zoo's conservation efforts caused an algae growth in the bear pond and safety moat, Kurobe said.

Algae that enters hollow spaces in the bears' fur is hard to rinse off, he said.

The bears are expected to return to their natural color when the algae growth subsides in November, Kurobe said.

Fringe-The Next "IT" Series

Like the X-Files, Fringe is a show that deals with paranormal activity. That being said, there are a few differences. Where the X-Files centered around aliens, Fringe pertains to advanced scientific experiements that stretch far beyond anything the general population could concieve. Various agencies and corporations are pushing science and technology well beyond ethical proportions without reguard to the consequences of their actions.

With a talented cast featuring the likes of John Noble, Lance Reddick, Australian new-comer Anna Torv, and as previously mentioned, Joshua Jackson, the characters, and their back-stories draw you in instantly. Add to that the very nice visual effects, overtones of quirky humor, and true chemistry between Jackson and Torv, the pilot sets the tone for a new series that could very well be televisions next "it" program. If you haven't seen the pilot episode, I highly recommend doing so.

Reporter caught masturbating

HONG KONG - A HONG Kong television reporter who quit his job after he was arrested for masturbating naked on a bus said he was only trying to 'ease his stress', reports said on Friday.

Chiu Yu kit, a former journalist at Asia Television (ATV), admitted in court to the act while he was alone on the top tier of a double-decker bus on July 31, The Standard and other newspapers reported.

An off-duty officer made the arrest after he jogged past the bus and saw Chiu standing on a seat naked and facing a window, the court was told.

Chiu, 31, pleaded guilty to one count of indecency in public, but added that he committed the offence only to release his stress.

Principal magistrate Josiah Lam, put Chiu on a one-year good behaviour bond and advised him to exercise or talk to others if he wanted to relax.

Chiu resigned from ATV shortly after incident, which was reported in many local papers.

Last month, a 'lonely and disturbed' Hong Kong man became stuck and had to be freed by emergency services after attempting to have sex with a park bench. -- AFP

Google Chrome already beating Opera!!

Maybe Google really does have something here — in just two days, they have leapfrogged Opera in market share, and have their eyes set on bigger fish. I would have thought that Google’s foray into the browser market would have taken a bit more time to develop, but it seems that adoption has been extremely rapid. According to TechCrunch, most users are coming from Internet Explorer, not Firefox.

Microsoft must be worried, or at least they should be — imagine how embarrassing it would be if Google begins to dominate IE in short order, and Microsoft continues to lose search market share regardless how hard they try.

The new browser topped out today with 1.57 percent of browser share, but then sunk back down after the initial excitement to 1.06 percent--still ahead of Opera's 0.74 percent.

I would be interested in hearing your honest opinion on Chrome — personally, I have made the switch, and I am definitely not looking back. It’s everything I need, and nothing I don’t. It’s so important for newly launched services and applications leave a good taste in the mouths of early adopters — unfortunately, that is usually an extremely hard thing to accomplish.

Spore Review by Gamespot

Spore is an enjoyable game that pulls off an interesting balancing act. On one hand, it lets you create a creature and guide its maturation from a single cell to a galactic civilization through an unusual process of evolutionary development. Because the tools used to create and revise this creature are so robust and amusing, and each creation's charms are so irresistible, it's hard not to get attached to your digital alter ego. On the other hand, this intimacy is abandoned in the long, later portions of the game, when you lead your full-grown civilization in its quest for universal domination. The idea sounds ambitious, though Spore isn't as much a deep game as it is a broad one, culling elements from multiple genres and stripping them down to their simplest forms. By themselves, these elements aren't very remarkable; but within the context of a single, sprawling journey, they complement each other nicely and deliver a myriad of delights.

Google Chrome

In case if you dint’t know, Google recently released its own browser, Google Chrome.

Installation

The installation was quick and painless. Chrome was very lightweight compared to other browsers

Shortly after download, I was asked to select a default search engine. Chrome also allows you to import bookmarks, passwords, and other settings from other browsers.

Interface

The first thing i was suprised at, the tabs were on top, there’s no title bar or menus, and the status bar at the bottom pops up only when it has something to report. It even disappeared when i moused over it. The whole screen was devoted to the web page.

Instead of submenus and side bars, you open new windows for each task. For example, browsing history/downloads has become its own tab. Thus has the effect of making things very clean.

Tabs are easily movable, with smooth transitions. You can drag them around, or even out into their own windows and back. So far, I’ve found it very fun to work with.

Another handy tidbit is Chrome’s Ctrl+F(search) functionality. There is already the Firefox’s find box, but Chrome does an even better job by automatically highlighting all matches and even showing which match you’re on (i.e., “9 of 26″).

The Omnibox was, of course, just as useful as advertised. It’s literally a way to search everything you’ve browsed, among other things.

What I Hated

There were no plugins available at launch.With no adblock, i m quite dissapointed.

Conclusion

I’m a Firefox fan, but I’ll be converting to Google Chrome. I’ll still be using Firefox for other activities until plugins like the adblock becomes available for Chrome.

Overall, for a beta release, Chrome is incredibly amazing. I look forward to seeing how Google will upgrade it into a more fantastic browser. You can download it at the Google Chrome website.
